Chat from Discord to your website

Embed a custom designed chat widget on your website, and reply to your users from Discord.

Try out the live demo

Easy as 1, 2, 3

Just connect to your Discord, select the channel you want to use,
and import our React library into your app to get started.

1. Connect to Discord

In order to respond to messages from your Discord server, you'll need to install the Booper bot.

2. Select your channel

Once the bot is installed and added to the necessary channels, run the following command in Discord:

/chat init [channel]

Note that you will have to select a forum channel. Also, if you select a private channel, you will have to make sure the Booper bot is added to the channel.

After running this command, the bot will respond with an app ID for you to use in your code.

3. Import our React library

For now, we only support React. To install our React library, run:

npm install @booper/react
yarn add @booper/react

Then, in your app, you can do something like this:

import React from 'react';
import {ChatProvider, Frame, Launcher, useChat} from '@booper/react';
const Chat = () => {
const scrollRef = React.useRef<HTMLDivElement | null>(null);
const [content, setMessageContent] = React.useState('');
const {messages, open, toggle, send, refresh} = useChat();
React.useEffect(() => {
}, [messages.length]);
const handleSendMessage = async (e: React.FormEvent<HTMLFormElement>) => {
await send({content});
await refresh();
return (
<Frame open={open}>
<div className="flex h-[70vh] w-96 flex-col overflow-hidden rounded-lg border bg-white text-gray-900 shadow-lg">
<div className="bg-gradient-to-r from-gray-900 via-gray-800 to-gray-700 px-4 py-4 text-gray-100 dark:border-gray-700">
<h1 className="mt-1 text-xl font-bold text-white">Hi there 👋</h1>
<p className="text-sm text-gray-200">
Let us know if you have any questions!
<ul className="flex-1 overflow-scroll border-b p-4">
{, index) => {
const isMe = message.source === 'chat'; // other sources: 'discord' and 'bot'
const next = messages[index + 1];
const isNextSame = next && next.source === message.source;
return (
className={`flex ${
isMe ? 'justify-end pl-8' : 'justify-start pr-8'
} ${isNextSame ? 'mb-1' : 'mb-3'}`}
className={`rounded-md border px-3 py-2 text-sm ${
isMe ? 'bg-gray-800 text-white' : 'bg-gray-200'
<div ref={scrollRef} />
<form onSubmit={handleSendMessage}>
className="w-full border-none bg-white p-4 text-sm outline-none"
placeholder="Type your message..."
onChange={(e) => setMessageContent(}
<Launcher open={open}>
className="inline-flex h-10 w-10 items-center justify-center rounded-full bg-gray-800 text-sm font-medium text-gray-50 transition-colors hover:bg-gray-800/90 disabled:pointer-events-none disabled:opacity-70"
{open ? (
<XIcon className="h-5 w-5 animate-in fade-in-0 duration-200" />
) : (
<ChatIcon className="h-5 w-5 animate-in fade-in-0 duration-200" />
export default function App() {
return (
<ChatProvider appId={YOUR_APP_ID}>
<Chat />
